College Holds Grand Opening Of Ray Treacy TrackPublished by
Providence College Athletics Director Bob Driscoll and Cross Country/Track Coach Ray Treacy celebrated the grand opening of Ray Treacy Track on Friday, April 11. The facility, which was completed in the fall, continues a decade long campaign to improve the athletic and recreation facilities at Providence College. The campaign commenced in 2005 when the College opened Lennon Family Field (a field hockey and lacrosse complex). The next phase was the building of the Concannon Fitness Center, which was completed in 2007. In 2012, the College renovated Alumni Hall Gymnasium, the home of the Friar women's basketball and volleyball teams. In addition to the track being completed in the fall, the College also celebrated the grand re-opening of the renovated Schneider Arena, the home of the Friar men's and women's hockey teams.
