The Providence College men's track team competed at the NCAA Outdoor Track East Preliminary Championship in Jacksonville, Fla., on Thursday, May 29. Sophomores Harvey Dixon (Aldershot, England) and Julian Oakley (Tauranga, New Zealand) each ran the preliminaries in the 1,500 meters. Dixon placed 17th overall (11th in the fourth heat) in a time of 3:47.77 and Oakley finished 28th overall (seventh in the third heat) in a time of 3:50.23.
